Double Exposure
Reflection
For my double exposure assignment, I chose the portrait emulation and a photo from the depth of field assignment. The photos relate because of the window. It links the outside atmosphere to the indoors. This photo gives you an idea of what is actually outside. In both photos, the top right corner has less going on but no real negative space. The area with the most going on is in the bottom left corner and it lessens as it moves away from the corner. To create this image, I layered the portrait emulation photo on top of the depth of field one and decreased the opacity to create the transparent layer on top. I felt that I didn't have to play around with different color concepts because I thought that the colors when I layered the photos and changed the opacity, the photo was pretty strong. The photo conveys nature compared to indoors. It ties it in because of the window. To improve the composition, I might make an area of the picture with a vivid color to make a specific area of it stand out. I might also like it if there were some strong negative or positive space.
